Food Bank of Delaware
Our Mission is to provide nutritious foods to Delawareans in need
and facilitate long-term solutions to the problems of hunger and
poverty through community education and advocacy.
A state-funded program designed to provide cash assistance to low-income people who do not qualify for federally funded programs, such as TANF or Social Security benefits.
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is a food supplemental program that enables low-income families to buy food that is the basis for better nutrition.
The date for World Down Syndrome Day , being the 21 st of the March was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication ( trisomy ) of the21st chromosome which leads to Down Syndrome.”
For the second year Harvest Years Senior Center , MSMC Women’s Lacrosse team and Hartly Elementary School has partnered with the Down Syndrome Association of Delaware in support of World Down Syndrome Day.
